City of Angels is a faith-based nonprofit serving children and families in Tijuana, Mexico. We provide care, opportunity, practical support, and community—helping children grow in environments where they can feel safe, supported, and hopeful about their future.
MORE THAN 25 YEARS OF CARING FOR CHILDREN
Our story has grown. Our purpose has not.
For many years, City of Angels was known primarily as a children’s home.
That chapter shaped who we are and will always be an important part of our story. Over the years, hundreds of children have found care, stability, love, and a place to belong through COA.
But experience taught us something important:
To change a child’s future, we often need to support the family and community surrounding that child, too.
Today, City of Angels continues to provide a safe and loving home for children who need one, while our work has expanded far beyond our walls.
We walk alongside children and families in our community with food, clothing, education, emotional support, opportunities, practical resources, and relationships that can last for years.
Because sometimes helping a child means giving them a home,
and sometimes it means helping their family become strong enough to keep theirs.
STRONGER FAMILIES
Poverty should not be the reason a family falls apart.
We walk alongside families facing difficult circumstances and help meet practical needs such as food, clothing, school supplies, shoes, healthcare needs, and other essential resources.
Our goal is not simply to help for a day, but to help families move forward.
COMMUNITY CAREOur Community Center allows what we receive to flow outward.
Through food, clothing, essential supplies, prayer, special events, and personal support, COA serves families throughout our surrounding Tijuana community and creates a place where people know they are seen and welcomed.EDUCATION & OPPORTUNITY
We believe opportunity can change the direction of a child’s life.
Through education, English classes, extracurricular activities, mentoring, work experience, and practical life skills, we help children and young people develop tools they can carry into adulthood.OUR IMPACTWhat began as a home has become a community.

What happens when a coffee shop becomes an opportunity?
BLCKSPT was created as another way to invest in young people and in the future of City of Angels.
Through real work experience, young people can learn responsibility, consistency, teamwork, customer service, and valuable job skills—while becoming more confident and independent.
At the same time, BLCKSPT helps us explore a more sustainable future for COA and creates another point of connection with our community.
